Galloway Forest is 300 square miles with a spider's web of world class gravel routes to explore.

The easiest wilderness area to get to north of the border, and a UNESCO Biosphere covering the Galloway Highlands fringed with miles of coastal riding.

We are the people behind Raiders Gravel and The Gralloch, the UCI Gravel World Series race to be held in the UK. This is the best gravel cycling destination in the UK.

We cycled around the world for four years and moved here for the amazing cycling which we love to share.

Options

Galloway Cycling Holidays offers a range of gravel riding options to suit the gravel curious to seasoned riders.

Gravel is great all year round, with the winter months often producing some of the most memorable cycling experiences!

We pride ourselves in being flexible, with no fixed dates.

Pick and Mix

There are no minimum requirements. You can come alone or in a group.
There are no set dates. Come whenever it suits you.
Although certain locations work better than others, we can meet up and start from any pre-arranged point.

Choose to have everything organised from accommodation to collection from the train station. Or, if you prefer, you can find your own way here and book your own place to stay.

Tours + short breaks

We book accommodation and you decide if you want to be guided, self-guided or both. You give us an idea of the distance you are happy to ride and we do the rest.
Bike rental is optional. Feel free to bring your own.

Be Guided + gravel skills

Rides are mostly on double track and are demanding at times, with glorious views as payback. We tailor the rides to your level of fitness and experience, but we can adapt on the fly to make sure you get the most out of your time with us. We try to include a cafe stop or coffee & cake picnic often at a remote bothy. It’s your ride and we talk through the options with you.

Bike Rental + routes

If you would like to rent a Gravel Bike from us we have a fleet of Specialized Diverge gravel bikes. Let us know your height for the right frame size.
We are happy to share some routes for a small fee and you can go off exploring. You need to be an experienced user of gps navigation.
Price: Gravel bike per day: £45
